Mohican Lake Taxpayers Association Welcomes You
Who We Are
Nestled in Lower Catskills lies a hidden gem, Mohican Lake. A Private lake located in the . 160 acre

Dear neighbors,
As discussed at our last association meeting, Solitude Lake Management evaluated our lake today to determine whether the Milfoil in the lake is still at a stage where a treatment would be beneficial. We have received positive news from both Solitude and the herbicide manufacturer that we are still within the window for treatment. As such, on Monday, August 2 2021, Solitude Lake Management will be conducting a treatment on the lake beginning at 10 am. This treatment is part of the scope of work that Rob has been talking about during the meetings and will specifically be targeting Milfoil. The treatment is being done in accordance with the state DEC and we have been issued a permit for the treatment. This treatment is designed to maintain the viability of our lake for swimming and boating.
The manufacturer has a recommendation that no one swim in the lake for a minimum of 24 hours after treatment. The treatment time is listed above and the MLTA strongly advises all members to adhere to this recommendation and pass on this information to neighbors/guests who may not be on this distribution. Attached is a complete notice of water use restrictions.
If anyone has questions, please feel free to speak to Robert Howe at 201-566-3119.
